Elon Musk's Optimus robot, unveiled by Tesla, represents a bold leap into the world of humanoid robots, designed to revolutionize automation and assist in everyday tasks. Also known as Tesla Bot, Optimus is an autonomous, AI-driven machine intended to handle repetitive or dangerous jobs, freeing humans from mundane labor. Standing at 5’8” and weighing about 125 pounds, the robot is equipped with sensors, cameras, and Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) computer, enabling it to navigate complex environments.
The goal of Optimus is to create a multi-functional robot that can perform a wide range of tasks—both in industrial settings, such as factories, and eventually in households, performing chores like cooking or caring for the elderly.
